Flushing Your Toilet with Rainwater

Rain water collectors are often easy to set up or build. In doing so, you can immediately cut down your outdoor water usage. Some people even go as far as connecting this rain water collector to their toilet for indoor usage.

However you plan on using this water, here is some basic information on setting up the rain water collector, usually constructed using a plastic water drum that can hold up to 60 gallons of water.

That's a lot of dishes...or flushes.
